Spicy Mulled Wine

I love a mug of hot mulled wine! It’s not the type of recipe that I usually promote, but these long, cold days of winter and lockdown need a bit of spicing up! Easy to make, easier to drink, perfectly pairs with one of our delicious sugar free chocolate cakes or a cheese and biscuit platter.
- 1.5 litres of red wine
- 100g SlimSweetTM Monk Fruit Sweetener, to taste
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 6 cloves
- 4 star anise
- 5 sprigs of thyme
- 1 peeled orange rind
- Add all the ingredients to a large saucepan.
- Bring to the simmer, while constantly stirring.
- Cover the pot and let simmer on low heat for 30 minutes.
Serve and enjoy!
